My toddler is sick and at home with me. My dog just got out of unexpected emergency jaw surgery. I'm also sick, and have been consistently sick for about four weeks (just one cold after another). I'm on edge today, ready to yell even at my cat for annoying me. What time is an acceptable time to break out the Jameson?

I saw a great thread online about a Black physician who saved the day when a patient came in for an urgent MRI, but had metal pins in her wig so none of the white nurses or doctors could get it off. Black Physician rushed in with some alcohol and got it off in no time. We are crucial to the healthcare field for so many reasons, remember that!

If you could legally jump to a higher vaccine priority through money or connections not available to the general public, would you do so?

Assume for purposes of this hypothetical that you have a job and family with a low risk profile, though extended family more at risk. Assume front line health workers and nursing home staff/residents have been vaccinated, but not the elderly or essential workers. Assume you would accelerate your and your family’s vaccinations by three months.

She has resigned on the same day of mail and didn't responded yes/no to that mail and gone for medical leave. Will the notice period be same as normal or it will be 30 days? Because in the automated mail from the system, last working day is showing 90 days from day of resignation. Any suggestions/guidance highly welcome. Company- India's 3rd biggest IT firm.

Notice etiquete question. If you give your 2 weeks’ notice on a Monday, is your last day a Monday (2 weeks later) or can it be the previous Friday? Does your answer change depending on the time (morning/ afternoon) notice is given?

If I don’t want to potentially burn any bridges, should I just have my notice period end on a Monday and just take that day out of my scheduled vacation before starting my next job?

First time giving notice - would be interested in hearing what others have done.
