I had a technical interview with IBM last wednesday and on thursday they had set up a managerial round for discussion. It went well and the manager asked me about my expectations. We had few discussion regarding the salary and finally I was told that HR will get back to me. It has been 4 days but I didn't receive any call from the HR. Should I consider the fact that they might have rejected me even after all those discussions ? Shouldn't the HR atleast have a discussion ? IBM Tata Consultancy

Towards the end of some of my phone interview questions they will ask what my minimum salary requirement is. The problem with Digital Product Management is there are companies that will pay 90-100k and others that will pay 150-160k. That is a big difference and I think I have priced myself either too high or too low for a couple of them and ended up not going further.

What is the best way to counter that question? Would asking for their range be a better approach?

How did you all deal with failure in your career. I was ambitious and smart. I was in IBM and considered to be one of the best of my class. I was fired and haven’t really found my way.

I don’t know what to do anymore. 3 years after the fact, I am still at an entry level position. I hate myself for letting things get this bad but I don’t know how to get out of this perpetual cycle. I tried working my ass off but have not been able to shake off that unfortunate past.
