Considering leaving MBB to join a FMCG. Corporate consulting role. Would be leaving at Manager level with Mba. What sort of compensation should I be expecting?
I’m looking to try my hand at writing. I’m an account director by day but i really miss my creative writing side but not sure where to begin finding my way back. Client emails aren’t really doing it for me. I would love to earn a living as a freelance copywriter, crafting blogs, articles, etc but not sure where to begin. Do I take a course? Any good references out there?
Does anyone else not care about work-life balance? Like if they paid me enough I would gladly work my ass off, especially when the work is important
What countries have you worked in related to healthcare work? What did you think worked well and what didn’t?
Are tucks MBB numbers really that good? I saw a student on Reddit say about 35 mbb internships were granted in their year out of about 150 applicants (70-90 interviews per firm). Not sure what to make of this. Additionally, is it true that the battle is to get interviews and once you get one, then it’s just a matter of you performing (I.e., you’re no longer competing against classmates)?
Moving into a Sales Engineering role and extremely excited. Any pointers or advice as I move into this role?
What do you say is your occupation? In valuation - you’re not really an accountant - neither are you an investment banker - and consultant really doesn’t match it. Business Appraiser?
Anyone have insight into the culture, growth opportunities, and leadership personalities at InTouch Group? Is it a good environment for moms? Do they work typical agency hours behind 60 hours?
Moskowitz you should watch the final table!!!!
Any Accenture folks working at Slalom? Curious on peoples thoughts on the two companies and the transition
Any Latino that would like to network here? I have been in the same company for the last 7 years. Terrible work environment, but it pays the bills so I haven't network with anyone lately. I would like to talk to anyone willing to bounce ideas. Coffee? Beers? Looking forward to expand my network with anyone here.
i’m a third year associate and i feel like it takes me forever to draft things. (including the time it takes to stare at a wall & really drill down/conceptualize an argument. how long is an acceptable amount of time to bill for smallish like 10 page motions?
Need some advice... I started at a new agency recently. Almost immediately upon meeting one of my male colleagues (over zoom) I felt this attraction and genuine connection. Context: he’s 11 years older than me but both of us are single, never been married, no kids, etc. he’s not my boss and we don’t technically work together on projects. I want to get to know him better but don’t really know how to approach the situation (or if I even should) without it being inappropriate or awkward. Thoughts?
I recently got my friend hired (1-week in) at my workplace and turnaround is all time high right now (darn Covid, 3 people left since I've joined for 7 months), but I'm gonna be talking to a recruiter as a salary offer came up for 50% higher than my current workplace. I feel really bad if this opportunity actually comes true as 50% increase to salary is ridiculous not to consider. I feel horrible and don't want to burn bridges and I like the people & manager I work with. What should I do?
Is it appropriate to send networking emails this week and next (during the holiday period)? I’m thinking about exiting in 2021 and want to start connecting with people in my network about general career advice and potential job opportunities.
