Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
So far the only reason I’ve been told no is that “if you do then everyone will want to and then no one will be in the office” … how can I convince them that I work better out of the office and get this freedom & mental break for myself?

Wife and kid are going to be out of town for the next 2 weeks. Instead of wasting time, I’d like to do something productive. What would you do if you have say 3+ hours a day. Maybe self help, wealth creation type books, work out daily, take care of some things around the house.

What’s a good age to show a kid Rocky? I feel like my 4 year old (turning 5 next week) would love Rocky III and Rocky IV, but I think the dialogue in I & II would just go over the head. It’s so freaking heart-breaking to see my child (elementary age) fall sick and be absolutely miserable. He’s just this joyful, innocent, kind, energetic, and excitable bundle of love and is in so much pain and discomfort and my heart is just 😭😭😭😭😭. Do you think all these violent and hate filled attacks are because people aren't getting the emotional/mental support they need, whether it's therapy at any age or help they needed but didn't get from a social worker as a child? My coworker is sure this is the case, but I honestly think there's actually something deeper wrong either with how these people are being raised as children, or how the warning signs these people give off are ignored or swept under the rug to save face.
