I know I shouldn’t seek validation on this app but I’m 26 and on a 53k salary coming up to 4 years exp in the summer…am I on the right track?
About to give my two weeks notice today to my boss. I do First party Plaintiff work and PI. We got along great but he’s a true hot head when problems happen or difficult situations arise. A few years ago, he even fired his brother in laws gun that he was checking out in his office without realizing there was a round in the chamber (thankfully nobody got hurt, but yeah that type of crazy). My 2 year review (practicing now 3 years) is set for April. He doesn’t offer commiss in settlements or bonus
Product manager/product owner with 2+ years in this role (10 years as a BSA earlier) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. What would be the average for my profile - b2b SaaS. I am currently around 120k CAD with 15% bonus (half in cash and half in stock).
I am going to resign from TCS within a week. My question is, will my salary increment in notice period or it will be same as it is now ?
Received an offer as an Associate in the PEPI practice. MD said I can make about 200k total comp. I thought those were Senior Associate numbers. Can someone confirm? I’m skeptical.
Whats the best way to professionally say “I dont want to provide my compensation range first, tell me the roles budget first?” Im tired of recruiters getting the upper hand .
Does pretty much every company require you to fight for raises in order to keep up with market value or are there companies that exist who are good about paying you your worth? If so, which companies are good at this?
Please someone help me! This is urgent I have 2 offers 1. Real Estate analyst. Currently outsourced but will be on clients payroll in future US Real Estate Firm Underwriting deals for industrial (warehouse) 2. Relationship Manager in Top 4 Indian Bank Financial sponsor group - handling relations with PE/VC firms. Compensation is same. What to decide
@NonEquityPartner just shared the improved Milbank comp structure on their story but I don’t want to keep checking IG all day. Can people share here when/if their firm matches?
I understand the more responsibility you have the more you should be compensated. That aside, what salary range do you think you’d be truly content at? a) around $150K b) $200-250K c) more than $250K

Met with a recruiter (from a recruiting agency) for the first time today. Is it normal for them to ask you what your current salary is?
Finding exit opportunities before covid hit was tough but now it’s near impossible. Companies have dropped salary expectations by 15-20% and the opportunities are even less. It’s disappointing (cont)
Have an offer with T-mobile corporate strategy team. all in comp ~230, which is about 40k below current (mgr) I a good year - who knows with Covid. Are my comp expectations too high? (cont’d)...
Do you get any training when promoted to senior associate/reviewer? I received my salary adjustment last Thursday. Friday, I was cc'd on an email to an associate that I am supposed to start reviewing her Q4 work. I barely know how to prep Q4 calcs myself and now they want me to start reviewing? Been with the firm 1.5 yrs. No prior discussion with my manager about this. Got more emails today about reviewing more work starting next week.
Can anyone help me understand what Associate comp looks like at the big Chicago PE funds? (Linden, Cressey, MDP, GTCR). Has there been a recent market adjustment?

I think I've hit the threshold where the number of foursquare checkins I have at airports went from being cool to depressing.
I was laid off from my job awhile back and I have a gap through temp jobs I was doing. How should I display this on my resume? Leave the gap or say contractor or temp.
Was asked the same question by 15 students at last job fair.... "What's the most challenging part of the job." 👎 It's like they all have the same script!
Is Spirit airlines really that terrible? I have a remote project and thinking of doing some domestic travel while I can. Spirit is the cheapest option.
I am looking to move to the DC area when my lease ends 9/1. Looking at places currently there aren’t many options when it comes to decently priced places in a good location that are large/have a lot of amenities. Are there any other consultants looking to move, and need a roommate that has an awesome pup? I was thinking close to Shaw, or U St area, but I’m open :)
Is it ok to apply for jobs using your corporate laptop? I am pretty sure they can see what website we browse but can we get into trouble for that ?
For people who have flown domestic recently - How common are goggles? What about a face shield? Will anyone look at me weird if I wear either or both of the above?
Does anyone know how it’s like on the recruitment side for mid career folks? They all seem to be super junior and it feels like a volume game rather than finding the right candidate.
Not consulting related, but Has anybody switched from verizon to tmobile and regretted it? Thinking about switching bc tmobile has great bundle deal for iphone, but i also heard tmobile’s coverage sucks, and i dont want to get stuck with crappy carrier . Can someone share their experience and what area they live?
You are a strategy consultant and you get promoted to Manager (or equivalent). What move would constitute a "step forward" at this point? What roles/professions?
Does anyone else ever see the chaos at baggage claim and want to optimize? Here's an idea, instead of crowding around the belt and getting pushed/hit by bags, stand back until you actually see yours..
Just read about the harrowing details of the SW flight. Completely shaken. I can only imagine what those 149 passengers went through. So grateful to be alive and making it back home safely every week🙏🏾
