What will be in-hand salary for 10.5 CTC in TCS?
1st Job - 90k…. Is this a good salary? Late to the game at 34. Don’t even know anything about personal finance. Basically feeling like an 18 year old over here with no knowledge of how to run my own life. Having to start over after long term controlling relationship where I was left out of all the finance stuff. So I’m lost TBH. Engineering makes sense, managing my money not so much.
Been working for a boutique firm a little under a year. Came in as a senior consultant (due to previous types of experience mostly in government). 7.5 YOE, Masters, blah, blah.
Anyway, I came in at 90K. Recently got 3K bonus (split). Around my 6 month mark, recruiters have started reaching out with opportunities ranging from $140K-$170K. Currently interviewing with a few in that range. What a shock to me coming from public sector. I really undersold myself because I didn’t know any better. 💀
What would be the comp, bonus in Salesforce.com for the Sr. Tech Architect. Currently have an offer with Acumen as well with 175+ bonus and trying to compare the culture and work life balance.
I accidentally sent an email to my whole team (9 people) that was supposed to go to my immigration lawyer. In this email it had information about my base salary. Compensation is still a taboo in my company and I’m wondering if this email will have any negative repercussions?
PS: I make $200K and some of my coworkers make $80-100K
Have you interviewed for a job where you haven’t even spoken to the recruiter? At this company I’ve dealt with the interview scheduler, hiring manager and even a panel for my second interview with the director and another senior manager…but no recruiter.
I reached out, but still nothing…so I don’t even know the real comp, benefits or specifics of this job. Has anyone encountered this? I’m thinking I’d speak to the recruiter once an offer is made.
What are the levels at A&M and Alix? What's the post MBA title? Great to have comp ranges as well for each title. Thanks!
i recently got promoted to Claims Supervisor position in my company and i was really excited to see how i can handle the responsibility but, while i got the postion and salary i am still doing the job of a claims officer. i tried to talk to my manager about this but he implied that there is no need for supervisor position and i have to wait until my seniors got promoted, should i ask for transfer to another branch?
Solution architect or technical architect at Salesforce? What’s the pros and cons of both? How’s the compensation for both?
If I left the big 4 and had to pay back the sign on bonus, how do I claim that back in my taxes? Or is that dealt with automatically

Can anyone from there chime in on work/life balance, cost of living compared to comp, etc? Also interested in tips for traveling/moving there. Thank you.

Currently in the interview process for an account manager role on the east coast. What is the typical compensation for this role? Is it typically heavily bonus based? Trying to weigh my options where I am coming from a tech company with a good salary and opportunity to get promoted by end of year.
Are there any HR Managers located in Atlanta Georgia on here? I got an offer and I’m curious if the salary range is fair. Please specify how many years of HR experience you have. I have 6 years and the offer was a range of $100-120k for a promotion with relocation to ATL.

Hi fishes. I am having 4 years of experience in Rpa UiPath. Coforge is paying me 21 lpa and 1.05 lpa variable and Ey GDS is paying 17 lpa fixed. Which one is better?
Found out my husband has been texting a female coworker for months (someone he talks about a lot and I told him I was uncomfortable a few months ago)… he referred to me as his sugar mama, has been bringing her coffee… I’m so hurt and enraged, is this normal? Am I overreacting?
Is it better to join Fidelity ( FIS) or Accenture as a dotnet developer with 3 years of experience. My only concern is learning new technologies like Azure cloud and devops.
Started freelance + full time employment. Any good recs for an account / business manager? Thank you!!!
Have been thinking of getting a dog lately and did some initial research. What could be some of the breeds which are apartment friendly, doesn’t bark much and have minimal shedding? And are there any breeders near Seattle for that breed?
Has anyone joined FIS recently?
Is the onboarding virtual or do we need to report to the location?

Serious question: Why’d we have to migrate our network logins to FCB Health in addition to our emails? Couldn’t we have just started listing our emails as “@fcbhealth” but logging in as “@FCB”?
Our old emails instantly forward to our current ones, so I don’t see why it couldn’t be the other way.
8 weeks left in my notice period and company is throwing in new projects for me to work on “while they’ve got me” (8 years in company, longest tenure second only to founders). I’d be able to produce something but not to a great standard, and I wouldn’t be able to see campaign through. 90% capacity and heart’s just not in it.
Can I decline? Should I? How? Or recommend to give to my replacement when we hire them?
(Key reason for resignation is burnout.)
I remember when I first started working on my thesis project. My adviser asked me to get some funding for it, but he didn't give me any advice about how to do that. He just told me that if I wanted money for my project, I'd have to go through some kind of committee process and submit an application for funding from them. Sure enough, after weeks of writing applications and waiting around for responses from the committee members (who were always too busy), I eventually got approved for funding!
Need you help to understand if IBM offer well to me. YOE 7.2, IBM offered band 5, 14LPA. Is it good to join in this band and package?

Accepted an insanely good offer at a v20 but will need to leave my bottom v100 where I’ve become comfortable and well known by over 20 partners. Partnership was on the table at the v100 but I just could not turn down the v20 offer. How do I break this to the v100?
M&A associates: is it normal for first years to have only same-day tasks? I have not been given a task that wasn’t due either ASAP or by that night in weeks. If this is the norm, do you recommend any other (more predictable) transactional practice groups?

Has anyone recently had a demotivational talk from firm leadership that made you start looking for another job when you previously weren’t? PWSP recently had one where the dangers of “quiet quitting” got brought up, and no acknowledgement of hard work was had. After a couple of 300 months this year, I gotta say - really a miserable lecture to sit through.
What's the lateral market like for a '20 associate with a mix of corporate and real estate at a v20?
What are the biggest changes you might experience from lateraling from midlaw to biglaw as a 3-5 year corporate/transactional associate?
That feeling when you are struggling to get your many deals off your plate so you can have a break but then realize that it will just get filled with (gasp) *new deals* once you whittle the current ones down. Absolute dread. I guess this means it’s probably time for me to quit. I imagined these deals being my last ever, and it was pure joy (plus a lot of relief).
Does anyone think the litigation lateral market will get as crazy as the corporate market within the next year?
I started last October as a junior (moved over after 3 years in B4 accounting). Have worked nearly every day since then except for the occasional Sunday when I decided to blow off work I probably should have been doing.
I desperately need a vacation, but have no clue what that even looks like with Covid, WFH, and Biglaw life in general. It also feels super hard to take a break because it seems like no one in my group ever does.
Not sure whether I'm posting to gripe or seeking advice...
Sleeping in after a busy week only to wake up to emails on a Saturday morning asking me to do stuff…ugh
I’m a mid-level female associate at an Amlaw50 firm. I usually work with 1st or 2nd years. When I give feedback, I try not to be too harsh and to soften the criticism with anecdotes of people (or myself) who made a similar mistake. I discussed this with my husband (he’s in medicine), who was horrified. He told me that, even in his job, women felt the need to “cut themselves down” when they gave feedback, while men just gave the direct feedback without a story of their own mistakes. Cont’d
