Getting married soon. Want to bring up the mgmt of finances conversation. We both are in the high income bracket in a HCOL city. But had different starting points with me having been in higher paying job for longer, which means we might have different current savings. Not that this matters much as we both are not dingy about who pays for what day to day. But curious to know what are the best practices in terms of: 1. Things to discuss before wedding on finances 2. How to split cost of livingetc
This is more of a cash back card question, not points. I’m looking to BT onto a nee card and considering the Citi Double Cash or the Discover It card. Citi would be best long term for the 2% back, but the Discover card matches all rewards in the first year. Tough choice, thoughts?
I have an Amex gold and signed up in Jan 2021. Annual fee is about to hit and don’t feel like I get enough use out of the card to renew for another year (the rest of my cards are at Chase and want to keep my points in that system). If I cancel after the annual fee posts is there a risk of Amex clawing back my sign up bonus?
What are some downsides (effecting credit, etc) of continuing to get new credit cards assuming I’m good about paying them off on time? Trying to collect as many rewards/points as possible.

So is it weird when family/friends automatically think they can use your points or even your home while you’re away at work. I find it very annoying. Like it’s my f-ing house.

Buying flight tickets for a bachelor party and not checking a bag... Buy on a card earning 3.5% back? OR Buy on my AAdvantage card earning 2x miles? TPG's points valuation is redemption-focused, and not clear on earning.
And now the MQMs and Elite Nights roll back to 0. Cheers to another year of chasing status and points. Happy 2020, 🐠.
I just want to know whoever is doing freelancing along with their full-time work, what are the points you took care of so that your current employer does not get to know about your freelancing...

How much does Partner compensation vary across firms and how distinctive is the PwC pension? I’ve heard a big range for comp, from $400k - $1.2M. All I’ve heard about the pension is it takes 10 years as a PwC Partner. New SM trying to think many years ahead!

Has anyone ever taken leave to complete the cpa exam? I’m struggling and just feel like I’m drowning with everything tbh. Have failed many times (high 60s) and even had a section expire. Expectations for my work performance are very high and I have neglected studying because of that (my own fault, I know, but unintentional). It’s really starting to weigh heavy on my mind but I don’t wanna quit. How long was your leave, how did you schedule your studying during that, any other advice? Cont…

Young professional seeking guidance on different ways to get certified as an HR Professional - I have about a year of experience as the HR coordinator for a start up and I have taken a few courses through Cal Chamber and SHRM…any pointers or guidance on next steps?
I don’t understand who gave the confidence to the politicians bragging how prepared their districts/cities/states are prepared for COVID. I live in suburb Jersey and cannot find any testing location opening in the foreseeable future under $120. I just want to see if I have covid. It’s not for travel and stuff. Do I really have to pay that much? Guess my best option is to travel to the City and get tested at the pop up testing tents. No wonder why COVID spreads. Rant over, symptom continues
