MBA itself is anything but challenging, especially full time. Academic rigor is typically not primary objective of most tip MBA programs - was at Booth and didn’t find classes too difficult and we have wonky academic reputation

Other than expand my network and have the MBA credential for exit opps, what are some good reasons to pursue the degree? I joined EY out of undergrad and I really can’t justify the cost or identify my purpose. I dislike school(work) but would love two years to rediscover what I want to do and network a bit.

Have you considered leaving? There are other companies out there doing cool work. We'll always be able to take you back, probably pay you more at a higher level

I don’t know where to leave to. I’ve probably had around 10 recruiters reach out with opportunities but none of them sound amazing. Honestly I’d love to just be a chief of staff for a SVP or COO.

What kind of work have you done so fast?

Currently pursuing a MBA, and am deciding which focus areas to take. I am trying to pivot from UX design to product in tech. Ideal sector: FinTech Current sector: Mobile Gaming Related sectors: Entertainment, Edutainment, e-Commerce, Social Aiming at head of product or head of design as long term goal. If only 2 focuses, would you pick Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Strategic Innovation, or Global Challenges in Business? Advice appreciated!

Back in the day, I did my own PR, sales & marketing for whatever business idea I was running with at the time. What’s a good remote sales opportunity I can do anywhere in the world that won’t be painful or too high touch? Where I can use my social & business skills (markets, law, cloud, publishing, media, logistics, algos, social media, books, ebooks, design, podcasting, marketing, press release writing, voiceover, journalism) to earn a few extra shillings?
