Excuse me for this irrelevant ask - a friend is charged with a third degree trespassing and she’s eager to find a good lawyer. As her only lawyer friend (granted, a corp lawyer in BL), it sucks I can’t offer her more help but to ask around for some contacts… the court is in Upstate NY, but she wants a lawyer in NYC or its vicinity. She is less concerned about the cost but more about not leaving a permanent record.

Question for you sales and saas guys. I work for a fast growing startup and we are billing around 200 K a month. I am in charge of the sales team and our CFO mandates that we collect ACH payment information on every agreement. The problem with this is we have to reel in micro deposit amounts from customers and it feels like herding cats. I’ve worked for three great tech companies and I’ve never had ACH nor have I ever paid for services with ACH. Is this a totally dated process?


Is there anyway to safely name and shame individuals who have committed workplace abuse & harassment ?
My lawyer had advised me not to speak on my situation at first but is now saying I could share something if I wanted to. I've had a few significant career/personal harmful experiences with individuals in high positions of power at well known companies. It seems insane to me that these people continue to be allowed to work and control many people's careers without being held accountable.


Is your company mandating or has mandated time in the office? Can you share what company and if you think it’s positive or negative?


I'm a full stack developer. More experienced in backend. Worked for 2 yrs on react. But my concern is, i'm only interested in coding part, i don't really want to do css. I know enough css to design any kind of layout but i don't want to advance my skills in css, i just want to focus on JS. But i think most companies expect from a full stack/frontend js dev to work on css too.
Asking considering my future, should i just focus on backend only? Or i continue as full stack with more focus on JS.

How to negotiate in salary side. Scenario right now with me is,
I have offer from product based company 17.5 as CTC(15fixed + 1.5 variable + 1 joining bonus)
I have another offer from mid scale organization offering 20LPA as fixed with other things that makes CTC 20+
How should I negotiate with product base company hr to make my fixed part at least as 18LPA.
Which points to put in front of her, as she can easily say we have lots of perks and all other than CTC.
