I have been researching into this these days and there is literature that shares how lending worked in pre-Islamic Arabia. I think owning a rental property is immoral. If you don’t live somewhere, you shouldn’t be allowed to own and jack up prices. It’s literally the definition of “rent seeking”. Real estate prices are a result of the community, if you aren’t contributing to that community, it’s not yours to benefit from.
