BAH and “diversity”. A joke. Are you represented at your firms senior leadership levels? The BAH office here on the west coast addressed the BLM during a virtual all hands a few weeks ago or so. They asked a black employee to make a statement about it (typical) but what really irked me is how they showed a senior leadership offsite photo. This photo consisted of all the SAs and above. 16 people. All white, 1 black. No Asians, no Hispanic, no IPOC. How diverse is your senior team?

Just curious from the post below: is there a diversity hire at McKinsey & Company? I guess everyone needs to pass the same bar but maybe they get a little extra push than non-diverse candidates?
If I ever hear the argument "we shouldn't push this person, she has an excellent chance at promotion to start with and she'll additionally benefit from the Diversity targets" as an argument to OPPOSE someone's promotion, I may scream! Insight of my day: some of my colleagues are both sexist and quite petty. If this weren't a candidate I already support, I'd now be pushing this promotion just to piss them off!
How do I reach more BIPOC designers? Let me start off by saying I identify as Latinx and I am not trying to tokenize anyone or to discriminate against white candidates. I’m looking to add to our design team and I’ve been really trying to add diversity to our company. Anytime we put out the word we’re looking for more senior design roles the majority of candidates are white males. I don’t want to shut talent out, I just want to make sure our opportunities are seen.
