I flunked out of the University of Illinois. Finished my bachelors at a bottom tier state school. Made partner this year. ~700k depending on how exactly COVID impacts how we do this year. I’m 38. Would love to crack 7 figures by the time I’m 40.
It’s your life, you’re young and you have plenty of time, chart the course you want to follow.

AD1 - everyone I know on this app is a consultant or in tech. Your sample size is based on who you know. And I’m 37, making the same as P1 (tech, not consulting). Your experience group is not the whole world.

Community college equivalent 4 yr, 25, 60k (sr promo in October), goal is to be happy. Don’t really care about salary as long as I can live comfortably.
I agree. As I’ve grown older (and hopefully wiser lol), I’ve realized the true goal is to be happy and fulfilled. I used to worry about making over 100k at X age and realized I was over stressing myself to become this image thinking it would satisfy me. Wrong. My mother is a spitting image of that and the realization of me trying to become just like her...scary. But my mom is a whole different beast and definitely not the norm. Lol Comfortable, fulfilled, and content.

I would love to add race and gender to this. This feels really white male priveledge-y.

Thanks for fixing haha. I went to state school for undergrad so I'm a public school student at-heart, despite my Ivy League degree. If you graduate from a flagship state school, that's well-known in the area where you work, I think you have a good shot at high earning potential.

International state school that's only known in that state, not even nationwide, forget internationally. No grad school. No certifications. No student loans.
Just pure hussle.
$95 base at 30. $150 base. 32.
Shitty not even state school (transferred out of state school after I was doing poorly), 29, 100k ish, no real salary goals other than making manager this year (which would be 130k)
I am very lucky to be where I am
Florida, 22, 80k, goal of 200k before I’m 30.

D2 state school, 27, 90k, over 100k by 30 which I should meet even with the raise freezes this year. $250k by 35, 500k by 40
Vanderbilt, 31, 145k, 200k
State school, 33, $210k all in, $500k by 40
SFSU, 30, 100K, no particular salary goal but want to retire by 50 at the latest
If you didn't do Private did you really go to college? 💁🏻♂️

Bruh I went to like the equivalent of South Central Florida State Technical College. Florida State would have been a dream. Lol

Not participating in a dick measuring contest but go noles
University of Florida, 28, ~200K all in.
Tbh not a straight path to get there (BCG doesn’t target UF at all) but it is possible.
I just learned that Disney Board Members get paid $300K /year + perks to sit in a few meetings and read a bunch of SEC filings before they get issued.
Sure, they’re accomplished and it’s a high-responsibility role (although Mgt are the ones w the real pressure), but let me tell ya, I just changed my compensation goals. I want to be a board member someday 😂
Hey OP I’m from FSU. Shoot me a DM
That’s a damn good salary for 23 AC! I am embarrassed to say what I was making at 23. But it was a different time. I just turned 40 and I am living very comfortably and doing well by NY standards. I also don’t kill myself with long hours anymore. Those days are over. Not clocking more than 40 hours a week average this year, and am raising 2 little kids. I’d rather aspire to make moderately more in the coming years and have more time with my kids, vs make a lot more money and have to kill myself for it and risk missing their childhood.
