Away is the best case I've used. No relation to the brand.
I'm a director and CD. Travel constantly on shoots and new biz. I run with the small carry-on, because I hate checking bags, and it pretty much 99% of overhead bins worldwide. I've even squeaked into some of the ones where they try to make you gate check.
That said, I pack light-ish. But, I always manage to fit in a pair of gym shoes, two workout clothing sets, usually 6 t-shirts, one or two button downs, an extra pair of pants, 6-8 underwear and socks, and still have room for extras like books, toiletries, etc. That's usually easily enough to last me one to two weeks if I'm bringing a backpack or a laptop bag.
I'm on the road with that setup for a few weeks now and it's great.
The power option is also nice, and they allow you to remove it easily in the new bags, so you've got a pretty solid charger you can carry wherever you go.

I second CD1. I never thought I could feel so strongly for a suitcase :’) I’m in love.
Tumi all the way. I refuse to check my bag and always manage to pack for shoots 7-14 in my carry-on. ;)
