My spouse has spent 4 yrs in major market biglaw. She has always been interested in public policy/government work and went to law school to do that work. After 2016 election, left DC and did corporate. Now she wants to go back and has had several interviews over the past 5 months with a major DC law firm/lobbying firm. I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? The Variable Pay Bonus (VPN) is usually credited in August Month's salary (31st August). My question is , if I am on notice during that time , will I get my bonus? Since Bonus is calculated based on previous years performance. Also , another trailing question is , do I have to pay it back if my LWD is sometime in September?
