Is it considered rude to ask about the salary range before taking calls with recruiters? I keep getting emails about c-level ea roles and they try to entice me by saving hybrid role with great benefits and compensation, but won’t post the salary range in their job descriptions. I guess my thinking is that I’d waste their time with calls if we aren’t aligned on compensation. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts.

Other than trial and error and general experience, what have been your best resources for learning about industry rules and regulations and advising clients when they make requests outside of that? All my clients have regulatory and legal experts in house, but I find that sometimes hierarchical politics and upper management can stop them from fully embracing that role. After watching the parts of Dopesick relating to the ad agency, I feel like it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on my knowledge… TIA!

Advice as I’m not sure whether it’s just “me”. A white male leader who’s always saying the “right things” about supporting female, diversity, being an ally, etc. I had many interactions with him, and his word of choice, statement irks me. For example: who’s your role model (a single person in the company), or put me more as second lieutenant role, made an assumption that I don’t have network, and always gave me the “rah rah” about my salary is good when I asked about comparison to my peers.

Is hiring bar same for entry level and post mba positions at MBB?

Do you guys have some tips on how to transition into more of a manager role? Throughout my career, I’ve prided myself on my ability to execute at a high level and “get the job done” so to say.
