Be honest that you need more money and Just say that you have marriage in next few months and said NO to DOWRY

Lol looks a bit of both to me

Depends.. if the new role you being offered is different..you could say you not very happy in existing role and so looking to move.. or you can say you not a good fit for the culture here. So compared Deloitte with new korha fixation and find what's good about the new organization compared to old one..but if you are I HR round.. I dont think all this matters anyway.. it's mostly salary negotiation anyway

Nope, the first round is HR round (Telephonic interview). I am trying my luck in UK market.

What is your reason for wanting to switch? I'm a big proponent of honesty when it comes to stuff like this, as long as you're professional and diplomatic about how you communicate it.

Aaaah, ok. Thanks for clarifying. You could mention wanting to potentially relocate to the UK so you're looking for opportunities there.

Tell them that your project does not have the scope of growth and you are working in a technology which is different from your core competency. Even i am planning to switch and been in this project for 11 months.

good point.

Good luck with trying for the UK - it's quite competitive and the visa process is being delayed quite a bit (I've shifted there as well). I wouldn't be so blatant in front of HR, but it might be worth putting feelers out there around international opportunities to see what they come up with

Desi interviewers are worst. I hope I get non desi hiring manager.

Moving to different technology ,got a better opportunity

I made final round of interviews at Amazon several months ago but didn’t get an offer because I wasn’t willing to relocate. Now that Amazon is allowing remote work should I reach back out? And if yes, how? They said in their closing correspondence to let them know if my circumstance changed. Do I mention I have a new job or since it’s only been 5 months don’t mention? TIA

Can y’all confirm someone’s gender + interest before sliding into their DM’s please. Very out of pocket behavior. M here, tired of random men sliding into my DM’s and being weirdos. Same with y’all women. My DM’s are a safe, respectful place. Be. Nice.

I’m 29, at my first serious job, and am getting fired (not laid off). Feel like an idiot, and don’t know anyone else my age who has been fired. If you’ve been fired, can you tell me about it? I’m LA based in PR & Comms.

I am in a situation where my group is about to be laid off. I have not interviewed for 8 years and never in the US. I consider myself extremely talented in the tech field and have contributed to many well used libraries and frameworks but I can’t even get an interview anywhere I apply. Are there any resources to get feedback on what I’m doing wrong?

I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?

Hi all! Will any kind fish be willing to read my resume and give me feedback? I’ve been applying to different position but haven’t had any luck. Someone mentioned it is too specialized but I would love that a new set of eyes could read it to make it more appealing to consulting recruiters. Would really appreciate it :)

I truly hate how much weight I gained during COVID. What got you back on track?

What is this about OT labor laws that took effect on 12/1/16 resulting in Big 4 layoffs nationwide? Does anyone know a little more about this?
