Need advice from people with dogs
Does anyone work and travel as a consultant and have a dog? I currently have a dog, but live with my parents so I know there is always someone to take care of him. I am thinking about moving out in the short term future, and am worried about my dog when I travel. I know roommates can be a solution, but ideally I’d live alone. Does anyone have good experiences with doggy daycare or pet sitters?

If you are travel M-Th then find a new home for the dog. It’s not a fair life for it. If it’s periodic travel then it can be done with doggy daycare or dog walkers

This was the realization that I had to face…need to put the dog first

I had to give my dog to my family once I started traveling early on 😞 no good way to do it as a consultant

I found someone on Rover that comes to my house to take my dog. They have a key and charge me by the night. A lot of times a client engagement requires I leave early in the morning (6am) or arrive late at night and doggy daycares simply aren’t an option.

Pet sitters are nice. Reliable, fun for dog, and cheap are your 3 factors, usually you can only have 2

I think at a certain point you need to rethink having a dog

Best bet is to hire someone to live at your house M-Th

Cant you drop your dog off at your parents when you go travelling?

My husband yells at me in front of my 2 years old, even when he is scared. He needs to express his anger out before he can shut down. I am planning to leave him but I am hesitant because I am afraid this would negatively impact my son more, not having a father figure around much.... not the first time, my husband promises multiple time that at least he would control his anger in front of kid but never Lee up the promise...sometimes he would even throw stuff (not at me and my child)...

So the National Consumer Helpline really works.
I had filed a complaint against Goibibo, who delayed my flight cancellation request until 1 day before departure hence the airline charged a higher cancellation amount.

A friend of mine introduced me to the portal when I filed a complaint explaining the matter in detail, uploading Twitter DM screenshots, where the company was clearly denying responsibilities on the above.

Took 2 months but today my refund was initiated by Goibibo.

Currently asking around for others that work in the hospitality industry specifically banquets or banquet serving what is the tip pool break down at your hotel servers, captain, houseman, house percentage do you think your paid fairly from the tip pool?

I (36F) am married to another woman (34F) and we have a baby (5moF). We split all childcare, cleaning, meal prep, errands etc fairly evenly and it works well. Maybe she cooks more than I do bc she likes it, and I clean more bc I need to have a clean house. My friend (35F) recently took a business trip and literally put a binder together with instructions for her husband re: daycare drop off and pick up, what to feed the kids, when to take out the trash and so on. Hi there!
I completed the last round of an interview (presentation) last week. Originally they said they would be calling my references & then make an offer accordingly.
Today they updated that they'd like me to travel to their HQ (based in Nordics & I'm in London) for the final round where I'd meet the CEO, the hiring manager and a couple of people in the team.
I don't think I'm the only one in the process - even though initially the last round was the presentation.
What are your thoughts?

I have offers from both United Health Group and Atlassian for a Senior Financial Analyst position. Similar Comp (Atlassian slightly higher due to stock options). Coming from another healthcare company as a SFA, does anyone have experience at either company? In the long term, does Atlassian look better on a resume/work experience due to the Tech/Software space? Seems like their culture is great, but a much higher work load due to the nature of the company. Thanks! Happy to answer DM's too

Hey everyone, moral issue here. My older brother is struggling with money and his mental health. I’m not so good with the mental health stuff but I do have a Robinhood account that has ~5k in it that I could give him to help him feel more comfortable. I make a tc of about 100k at 25 and he makes 50k working 2 jobs at 32. I can make that 5k back later in life, it would mean more to help him now when he needs it. Thoughts? All comments welcome. NOTE: I did help him find a therapist.

I always travel with my Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 bandoulière as a carry on, with mainly my shoes and handbags in it - but i took her in to LV for a repair and due to supply issues she will sadly not be back in time for my trip to Italy in September. (The repair may take 10 months, WTF!) I would appreciate any recommendations, and would love for it to be similar in size to the Keepall 55.

I’m wondering if I’m overreacting, or she’s purposefully trying to just get paid more
