Need advice in how to keep, or should I say get back, in shape. Long hours, after work drinks, and weekly travel makes me lethargic and without motivation. Suggestions?

I work long hours (minus the travel) and I’ve started waking up at 4:30 to work out (basic workouts, nothing fancy like classes - something achievable in a hotel gym). It’s hard to wake up, but I end up eating better during the day and I’m going to bed earlier. It’s not for everyone but I definitely feel better.

Cut back on the after work drinks and really try to eat healthy even if you are on the road. It’s tough but it can be done with some discipline and your body will thank you

No alcohol — my personal rule is to only drink if I feel like I’m going to regret NOT drinking, otherwise the calories aren’t worth it. Fasted cardio in the morning helped me a lot. Just 20 minutes of sprints, 30-on-30-off

Hi! Currently at a really unhealthy weight. I hired a personal trainer for about 6 weeks to help me kick start my wellness journey but I feel like it was a rip-off. Caught covid and 1 week in. I'm very fortunate and my symptoms are relatively mild. I took the Regeneron antibodies and it does certainly seem to be an amazing treatment. As I have learned more, it seems that everyone I can find who took it has experienced fewer and less severe symptoms and a shorter duration overall. I have also been a strict and aggressive vitamin regimen from day 2.

If you catch covid, I encourage you to speak with you doctor about this quickly in the process.

Seeing the wave of layoffs and hiring freezes being announced is sad for impacted employers but it will do good for the industry as a whole. This will force companies to prioritize, become more efficient and will cool wage inflation which has been out of control in tech.

Fingers crossed it’s not the beginning of an extended recession but just a much needed market correction.

I initiated a securities transfer between my robinhood account to my fidelity account. Robinhood hasn’t done anything about for 3 weeks. Company A: This job I went through 4 interviews and haven’t heard back if I got the job. The last email a week ago said you’re still in the running. Salary is a trainer position paid by training hour. Average trainer makes 100k-125k on average.
Company B: have a 2nd interview on Monday. potential salary is 25k less. But there’s room to grow and it’s a stable job.
Should I ask company B for a high salary and let them know I have another potential offer?

Had to go in the office yesterday for an in-person meeting and the wheels fell off. I ate a donut for breakfast and ate the giant cookie served with lunch. I ate a very healthy dinner but felt sluggish and bloated all day. Stepped on the scale this morning and I gained 2 lbs. I think it’s mostly water weight as I still feel bloated. Any tips for staying injury free in middle age? My body seems to be falling apart. Before Covid, I injured my shoulder in a bad fall while skiing that would have kept me off the slopes for a year if the pandemic hadn’t. Last week, I pulled my lower back, also skiing. This is all after a 6 month recovery from Achilles tendinitis that the PT said was a result of running and hiking. I’m pretty active and in decent shape, but clearly I’m doing something very wrong.
