Absolutely! There are numerous opportunities-
1. Consulting roles in care management- I know KPMG has a practice where LPNs and RNs work with provider clients to redesign their patient care management processes. I think Deloitte has one too
2. Provider or IDS also recruit heavily for people with her profile that can run large transformation programs. She knows the delivery / patient care process and the business side so can be a PM for an EHR system implementation or manage the provider network accreditation and certification process, etc.
Pro
OP, it really depends on how she sells herself, and which firm. I’d think so.
I can refer her to Optum. We have a wide variety of folks here from all backgrounds including a mix of nursing/MBA folks. DM me.
I have DM you
Do u think she can get between $110k - $125k for her talent profile?
Rising Star
Why is she an LPN? She has an MBA - why not spend 2 more years and become an RN or even become a PA or NP. She can easily double her salary.
She has been removed from patient care as it was mentally and physically difficult (mostly in hospice settings) and enjoys health informatics, and analysis of clinical data.
Rising Star
I mean not to put LPN's down but LPN is a six-month course.
You don't have to do patient care just because you are an RN or an NP. She can still do healthcare consulting and make a lot more money.
D1, how is your comment productive to the discussion?
What is IDS?
Integrated Delivery System is a network of healthcare facilities. For example Kaiser, Mayo Clinic etc
And yes, I believe she can command that salary, if not more, given the years of experience.
