I asked TCS for a salary renegotiation, they agreed and they sent the new salary breakup, But they are not sending the revised offer letter, Whenever I ask them they are saying it's in the clearance process you'll receive shortly.
But my date of joining is on Monday, HR is telling me to join & they'll send the updated offer letter within 7 days of my joining, can we trust these words, Has anyone faced a similar situation?Tata Consultancy

I wouldn’t even look at the contingent annual bonus as a plus. The 6% salary raise is low for a promotion. With any promotion, I would expect at least 10-15%.
No. 150k min all in. Cmon Nashville.
Thanks, y’all. I knew it. My boss seemed shocked today when I didn’t accept on the spot. I knew this was psycho!
You can’t expect ny salaries in Nashville. We may not like it but it is what it is.
150 is in no way a Nyc salary. At a 6 percent bump for every job title, she would have to be and ECD to crack what she’s worth right now. Such a low salary comes down to either being lowballed or the agency not pricing their hourly right.
I’m in Pittsburgh and 117 is ridiculously low.
Where r u? With 15% annual bonus what does it come to?
Im referring to the $134
Yes, where do you work? Your salary in general seems low, the new one sounds like a joke.
That’s kind of what I thought, too. I’m in Nashville, which may account for some of that, as the cost of living is lower than larger cities.
In NY ACDs make upwards of 150k. Usually closer to 175k.
Go for the raise that matches your talents! You’ll work hard in the new job, you might as well get the moneys. Good luck!
I made 125k-150k as an ACD in NY. Every agency is different. Digital agency (they pay less). Was probably underpaid too. My husband makes 140k as a senior AD (also digital agency but not a fancy agency - there’s often a correlation between how cool an agency is and how much they pay you less)
Yes 117k is low but make sure it makes sense in Nashville.
Thanks everyone. I’ve never had anything like this happen before, so this is very helpful. The promotion came in the form of a job offer, which I haven’t yet signed. And I’d like to try to negotiate a higher pay. Has anyone successfully done this?
I would do research on Glassdoor to see what the going rate is. And then deliver a fact-based case for why you would like the salary to come up more. Talk about the value you have brought to the table. You appreciate the bonus, but given it is contingent on something you can’t predict, you would like the salary to be X. Don’t be hardlined. Otherwise it’s hard to adjust your position. There’s never any harm in asking.
