Bye bye Accenture!
Hi everyone, I recently received an offer from Monitor Deloitte in the UK as a Scon with their Lifesciences practice. Annual remuneration of ~60k GBP is their officer + sponsor my work visa for my movement from India to UK.
However, dependent visa and relocation assistance they said will not be provided. Do you think this is a good offer to accept? My husband will not be able to travel along in this case and we may have to work out other arrangements to shift our belongings to UK🙄
Has anyone heard of Steadily Landlord insurance?
What other jobs have you posted for or thought about posting for within your organization? Does your company pay for your education?
15 years is a long time doing the same job. Start looking around at roles that you are interested in see what qualifications you need and start chasing those. Best of luck to you. I am definitely with education but see if you can even shadow somebody for half a day in their role, attend the meetings they attend, see what they do. That can even be done remotely.
That doesn’t sound arrogant at all, advocating for yourself is important when a job search. The other thing I would do is check your salary, since you’ve been doing this for so long, look for the same type of position with other companies to make sure that you’re getting paid correctly.I wish you the best of luck.
I transitioned from call center to claims adjuster. Try that
Also part-time education! I ended up doing a degree, albeit very slowly, by taking classes at local colleges. That helped my confidence a lot in the job hunt
Have you considered working your way into marketing? There are some good online resources like seminars and courses that could help to get you there. Good luck on your future plans!
As a fellow broker, I’m curious as to what resources/seminars/courses you may know of. I’m looking to make a move out of the brokerage space into marketing. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
I started in a call center, transitioned into account management where I moved around to different verticals (retirement, life & disability) and then got licensed and moved into the broker space. Account management is a great move to make from a mobility standpoint!
Could you advance with your current company? I would try to get my foot in the door somewhere that has good upward trajectory. You don't always have to have a degree if you can just work your way up the food chain with a good company.
