Question for the married folks. What in your opinion would have been the right age to marry? I also understand there are several factors but im respectfully more so interested in the age, gender and reason for your answer. Grazie!!
I don't have time to make purees at home. I buy from store all the time. I make sure it's organic and natural preservatives. I feel guilty that I don't give my six months old baby home made food ☹️
Anyone think sustainability is finally getting better during Covid? Think the last few months have been really focused on wellbeing. Thoughts on when the things have gotten better recently? Or just isolated?
Just had my first kid. How do you manage the consulting work expectations and being a parent?
First day back at work after leave and baby’s first day at daycare 🥺 I’m so excited to work and have some normalcy again but I miss my little man so much! No question, just having lots of emotions 😭😭
New AC currently doing internal work. While I understand it’s good to be seen around the office, would I leave a negative impression if I WFH until 2022 due to worsening covid situation and Christmas?
When did you start implementing a schedule for your baby? Mine is 5 weeks old right now, and all of the advice I’ve received so far is to ensure he’s eating regularly (every 2-3 hours, per the pediatrician) and otherwise follow his cues for an ear-wake-sleep rhythm. However, I’m eager to implement a daily schedule to have more predictability and hopefully get longer stretches of sleep at night. When can I start this and what’s the best way to begin?
Hello! Okay, so in the workplace when coworkers ask about holidays everyone always mentions their family - husband, wife, kids. I always feel so uncomfortable when they assume I have a boyfriend/husband when I have a female partner but I feel like correcting them or just saying my partner will get me judged. Do you think the workplace just isn’t too accepting of sexual orientation for always assume the gender roles or am I just completely overthinking this?
Got visa with an annotation “NIE under all PP on novel coronavirus”. That’s enough to enter, right?
I’m selling my 2 extra Ali Wong stand up tickets for $125 each. It’s going to be at the Warner Theater on Saturday Aug 28 at 10pm. DM me if you’re interested. A bad feedback cycle, and other things I’m my life have led me to wanting to go back in adderall(was on it as a kid). The feedback was anonymous. Cont...
Hi mommas. Slowly weaning 4 month old from breast milk and wanting to move to only formula by 5 months. I know lots of people get formula shipped from Europe but that seems too much of a hassle. What US formula are you using? We’ve tried happy baby organics and Bobbie and I’m not sure which one is better (debating if having probiotic is a plus or no). Any thoughts welcome!
Anyone ever used a ride share app that employs women only? Really wish it was an option to choose gender on Uber... especially for late night rides
Hello. I’m scared. I can’t believe so many people are getting Covid every day. It shakes me to my core how many people are dying. And it’s not even winter yet. How do we get out of this hole we put the country in?
EY moms (not in CA) - has anyone taken 6 months off after having a baby, taking unpaid LOA at the end after using mat leave and vacation? (I’ve asked this before but no response so I’m going to try again! I had really bad PPA right at 4-5 months with my first so hoping to take 6 months this time)
I’m pregnant!!!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Is it just me or does anyone else find the Microsoft spot with Katie (who by all means deserves it) hypocritical, after the way the 49er’s really showed what they think of diversity w/ Kaepernick?
So last couple of years have been very tough for me, ending a 6yr LTR, ex getting married overnight, dating horrors, losing 40lbs, intense family issues, covid, major housing crisis, etc etc. I realized I've given up hope and become insanely negative. Last night had a break down and decided I'm gonna reboot again. Just looking for tips to keep this motivation going.
Hi, I have a 1st round interview coming up for an associate position at L.E.K. Consulting and was wondering if anyone could give some insight into the interview? I believe it will be 2 cases, 30 min strategy and 30 min quant. Have been doing some case prep over past few months, but nothing too in depth or LEK specific. Kind of nervous - never done a case interview and feel a little underprepared
How is the work culture and WLB at Avanade? Currently being interviewed for a role . Would love to connect with someone to understand the tile and company . Please let me know . Thank you !!Avanade
Need advice regarding time off. TL;DR: just found out younger sibling is being admitted to hospital due to mental health issues. Situation still unfolding. Do I inform my team/take time off to support family? Context: I am a new hire (<6 months) and just joined a new project last week. On top of this, another sibling (kindergarten) is doing school from home this week due to COVID exposure. Needless to say, my mom is a mess & has hands full. Is it appropriate to take last minute time off?
Now that my school is completely in-person, I’m noticing that the students who were online last year are pushing back on everything we do in school. Following the most basic of rules, directions, or fun is a struggle. I teach 8th grade, but I coach in the high school. I’m seeing it across the board. Is anyone else seeing this too? Is your school or district addressing it with any preventative measures social-emotional supports?
Haven't gotten any interviews in the past month despite applying almost everyday...Back in beginning of the year I would have at least 1-2 interviews per week. Is it just me?

Differences among benefits across MBB?
Applied to multiple positions (different roles) at PwC consulting on which I perfectly match and I received quick rejection emails (within few days /hours which I appreciate not like EY who takes months or Deloitte who completely ghosts you). All the other big 4 got back to me positively with interviews. It's not my resume, my cover letter or how I match to the roles. I don't understand what is happening.. I really would like to get at least a screening call from PwC ( I really like the company)
Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
I’m about to get an offer and I’m a nervous wreck!! Can’t share this with anyone just yet, but if I do get this offer I’ll make 100k+ my current compensation 😬😬
What’s the typical salary for an Account Sup? In pharma I’ve been told it’s 95-105? What’s the range for non-pharma?
Deloitte vs McKinsey in terms of actually making partner? Not comp, nor exit opps — we all know the clear winner there
If I’m 100% sure big law isn’t for me (i.e. don’t want to be partner), is it stupid of me not to take a signing bonus to lateral to another firm? I’m a rising 3rd year and can probably stick it out 1-2 more years max.
I’m on my notice period and will be off on leave in less than two weeks. Ive recently got bad flu symptoms and would need to take this week off as sick leave. Would that look bad? Don’t want to leave in bad terms
Portfolio valuations exit opps?
Hi fish! Does Experian sponsor H1B? I have a referral from Experian but they’re not sure how sponsorship works. TIA!
People Analytics Manager at Facebook (Meta) lists a requirement of 8+ years experience in HR Consulting. I’m at 5.5 years experience focused specifically on People Analytics (both internal initiatives and client work). Should I hold off on applying until I have more experience under my belt? Any hurt in throwing out an application?
