Maybe just maybe I chose the wrong profession 😆

Hey! I usually don’t post on here but I was in this exact situation a few months back, so I felt super moved by this post. It ended up being the case that we couldn’t make it work based on what each of us wanted/needed. I was initially very scared. To be honest, I had no idea how I could go on without him and without our relationship. The thought of it made me sick to my stomach. I learned a lot of things from the breakup, but one of them is that the right person is timeless. I don’t know what your situation is, but life is a series of circumstances outside of your control. If you two can’t make it work, it doesn’t mean that he’s a bad person. It just means that he isn’t the right person for this moment in your life, but that he was at some point. That’s okay sometimes! A relationship doesn’t need to be permanent for it to have been meaningful. I hope that things don’t come to you two breaking up. I can tell that you care a lot for him. I guess I just want you to know that there are so many realities in which you live a happy and fulfilled life with or without this person. Sending love.
BCG1, thank you so much for taking the time to responding on here. Been reading your post over and over and I can tell you understand exactly where I am coming from. Your way to think about really shows a lot of strength. Hoping for the best, but yeah, life moves in mysterious ways, and they sometimes hurt like hell. Lots of strength for you as well!
Can you share more about what is driving the potential misalignment? I may have been in a similar situation and recommend couples therapy.
