Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. Everyone has a different perspective on this but would love to hear yours. Someone has debt ranging say 4-5% interest rates. Do you attack debt more then investing to move towards a debt free life or do you go after investments since they return historically above that then paying down closer towards retirement. I know the latter looks better on paper but what about the psychological factors of being debt free and the guaranteed return on interest savings.

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

We have been blessed by financial support from family: By no means super rich, but he will leave LS with "only" 40k in loans, and owns a debt free apartment that pays his 1.5k mnthly mortgage.

He therefore doesn’t feel he "needs" big law money.

When’s the right time to fire? Founded a post revenue SaaS startup (120K TTM), have marketing/sales cofounder whose been part of a few scaled startups with for 1yr, good with conceptual map of driving growth (increase LTV, go upmarket, decrease churn), but, always seems to find an excuse why he can’t drive users (product not ready, churn too high to make effort worth it, no LinkedIn presence.
