<Need guidance> US employee on H1B visa - I am in discussions with another company for an offer. Without even releasing an offer letter to me, their HR is asking for details like I797, latest LCA, mark sheets etc. Is this normal? These details are typically needed to start Visa transfer process and I am not following why they would need this information at this stage? Can they initiate transfer without my approval? Sorry for my lack of knowledge here. Thanks!
