need help deciding between 2 entry-level consulting offers (AC/ graduate program)
Teneo - 46k +3k sign on
Accenture 34k +10k sign on
I know the pay at Teneo is better, but which firm has a better reputation in consulting and exit ops in the long run?

I’ve seen people jump from Teneo after a year to a T2 and in some cases, T1. If you’re keen on strategy or want to get into strategy & ops roles, I would recommend teneo (unless you have an offer for ‘Accenture strategy’). Accenture has recently merged their strategy and consulting business so be sure to check which service line you would be sitting under.

like

That makes sense. My Accenture offer is for consulting, not strategy

Accenture! Not even a question. Teneo is relatively new and just about building up their consulting business while Accenture has an established brand name

like

D1 it strategy. Accenture job postings clearly mention either management consulting or strategy

Accenture as a brand name is far more recognisable than teneo. So if you’re unclear on what you want to do/haven’t quite figured out what you’re set on, I’d recommend Accenture to give a mix of varied experiences. If you are chasing a brand name like MBB or strategy consulting, I would go teneo. May seem short sighted to some on the bowl. However having come from a B4 ops transformation background and now working in corporate strategy at a bank, I found the transition to bag an interview extremely difficult. I interviewed with teneo London office and their case work seems pretty cool.

like

Teneo only does strategy work - people have exited into big tech and MBB/T2 (know a few people there) - Pay is in line with MBB for the london office (accenture is a poor brand name like the big 4)

I am a legal assistant (working on paralegal program), new to the field after a career change. I was let go from my last position for performance issues, although I was the 6th hire for the position in 18 months.
My main question is, how would I explain the situation to potential employers/recruiters so that I don't come across as a poor employee? I don't want to lay the blame on that firm; I gained a lot of skills there, even if it didn't work out

And also serve as office manager - handle all the logistics of managing inventory for office supplies, kitchen ( coffee, etc) as well as any issues that may come up- a/c issues, issues with cleaning staff, building issues etc. also handle travel bookings for all the company- this alone is a FT job. The travel got added 3 months after I started. TY.

Hola Bainees!
What is the WLB like at Bain London?

I have an offer to join a Tier 2 consulting firm next year (entry level). However, it seems like they have over-hired and they are now pushing the start date back by a few months. This is not great in itself, as I handed in my notice to my current employer last week, but I was wondering if I should be concerned about further pushbacks or even them withdrawing the offer. Is this something that happens, or will it just be a delay as they say?
