6th year of practice. I need to get out of insurance defense. Probably would prefer to be out of litigation in general. Thoughts on making a major career change at a company you are relatively happy at, for compensation reasons? Found out my counterparts in the US are making SIGNIFICANTLY more than me. I understand cost of living differences are a factor but this difference is very demotivating. My tenure is over 15 years vs 1 and 5 years respectively. Comp is $138k canandian + 20% bonus vs $230k USD + 25% bonus
And I’m responsible for the whole country, all aspects including international tax vs narrow scope
