I applied to Microsoft,went through a whole loop (used PTO), ended up getting a verbal offer, then got ghosted because Microsoft did some reshuffling at the start of a new Fiscal year. Lol this might be the craziest sh*t I’ve ever went through in my young career. Is this normal at Microsoft? Has anyone been through this and still got an offer in the end? Lol I’m so happy I didn’t put in my two weeks before getting the offer written.

In your experience, does "flexible schedule" mean you can finish your work and log off for the day or you'll be working way past normal 9-5 hours?

Dads in the group, need help
I’m a new dad with a 1yr old daughter.
She woke up a bunch of times in her sleep last night calling ‘dada’. Since she went back to sleep as usual in a minute, I didn’t pick her up. I was watching her on the monitor. I went this morning to her room, I noticed her diaper leaked, full of poop & all over her. Her bum was full of rashes. I feel so broken & hurt that I ignored her cries and wasn’t there for her when she needed me.

I’m a first time middle manager. So my focus is (highest to lowest priority) 1) delegation & coaching; 2) internal processes & ops (team enablement); 3) code review/feedback; and 4) ad hoc partnerships/support for my team and other teams.

As an IC, I had a lot of peers, stakeholders and projects where I worked in depth, but now, my scope is broader and I worry that it’s harder to get quality 360 feedback and it’ll hurt my reviews. Any suggestions ppl have?
