Go to a hotel immediately and self isolate there and get tested until you can travel home. Then limit physical contact until they get their act together and fully disclose attendees and their vaccination status. They’re gambling with people’s lives here.

I'd leave as soon as possible, deal with the fallout later. Your MIL was 100% wrong to not say anything. I would not speak to mine for at least six months if it were me.

My husband would read her the riot act, but he is confrontational like that. Just leave and don't engage until you feel like you can do it calmly, maybe in a few weeks.

helpful

Cont. Additionally, MIL hosted two large gatherings with people flying in from a bunch of states. She rarely ever does this and again, we were not informed. I’m anxious and angry. So is husband but is not confrontational. What to do?!! We’re already exposed.

If you’ve already been exposed, what are you asking for advice on? Deal with the exposure as you would any exposure. Don’t plan trips with in-laws during a pandemic in the future.

“Can you please go get a COVID test so me know for sure if we’ve been exposed and can act accordingly?” If they say no, assume they have it. I get you are livid with your in-laws (and should be), but other than not trusting them in the future, I’m not sure what else is worth doing. A confrontation isn’t going to fix anything or convince them they did something bad. If you are still around the actively sick person, leave or wear masks/follow COVID protocols.

When did you start introducing solids? Paediatrician said today we should start at 5-5.5 months. This feels early and there is no medical reason.

Not sure if anyone else deals with this, but I feel so inferior compared to my friends at medical school or those who went to Ivy post grads. I went straight to Accenture right after college and while I’m so grateful for having a good job, I just feel like I haven’t done enough and will never realize certain financial goals at the rate I’m going. The problem is I’ve never really been good at setting attainable goals and often get discouraged and feel as though I can never be “the high achiever”

Does anyone know of where to find remote part time work opportunities for older Indian women? My mom was a part-time after school teacher but has not been doing that due to covid (dad is high risk). She’s a great teacher though and she’s trilingual (Telugu, hindi) - anyone know of where to find opportunities?

All of this with half the team members of the other teams and within two years of our existence. Does anyone have guidance or advice on how to raise this type of issue, and how to seek a raise both individually and as a team?
