Regarding interviewing, what tends to be the theme for the cases you’ll see at Bain/BCG? Familiar with McKs, but never went through interviewing with the other two and wondering what you’d tend to see. I’ve heard Bain is market sizing heavy cus of PE focus, but don’t know much outside of that. Thanks!

I've applied to ~40 jobs over the last 4 months and have been rejected via generic email or not heard from all of them. Then this week I managed to land several interviews due to sheer networking & luck, but not sure if any are a fit yet. I'm wondering if this is normal, or if my resume sucks and I am just good at talking my way in the door when someone manages to pick up the phone. Has anyone successfully gotten feedback on a resume from a company rejection and if so how did you go about it?

You did an interview and your interviewer apologized that the travel time 180minutes was much higher than 30minutes scheduled time for the interview and that It could have been done remotely, but she has to follow the process. I am still waiting for feedback though.

Non-exempt employee? After interviewing for a sales position for a SaaS company, I received an offer. The recruiter made it sound like it was a salary, when I received the offer, I come to find out that they pay “hourly” as a non-exempt employee. Has anyone ever worked as a non-exempt employee before? I think I’m going to dislike tracking my hours. They do pay “overtime” though.

Hot take: firms should keep staff at intern level until they pass CPA. I’d say don’t hire them until they’ve passed but they need some comp to eat. We’re training so many kids to work to senior, never pass and either deteriorate or leave. It’s not that hard.
