Hello, did you guys notice that a post about Amy Cooper/feminist racism was taken down from the coronavirus thread. Seems like our peers get easily triggered when confronted by the truth. Have you thought about how that affects the badges we get on here? Have a hunch POC’s comments get taken down or are not “reacted” to as often as white people’s posts. Hi ladies! We started this bowl because a few of us recently took new positions in the midst of COVID and are struggling with WFH. Here’s my story, please share yours! Just moved to a new country and joined a big local firm as a junior. I am a chronic procrastinator and I think it’s because I have low self-confidence, esp. with my writing style. The best thing for my anxiety and depression has been admitting to myself I despise my job and career, and likely the corporate world, and that attempting to continue climbing the ladder was causing pretty much all my mental turmoil. Moving up the ladder is a fools errand. Every day my mind was fighting me for trying to get promoted because I knew it was meaningless. So with that said, mental health has been best it’s been in a long time. For anyone else in a similar boat, hope it helps.

My ADHD has been a massive barrier for me in my career. I can’t stay at a job for more than 1.5 years.

My ADHD keeps me from being a consistently great performer. When I manage my ADHD, I am amazing. And when I fail to manage it, I fall short. And everyone then wonders why I can’t do my basic job responsibilities.
It’s frustrating. I am V qualified, talented and capable, but this thing is killing me. Everyone I know is getting ahead and I’m constantly struggling even though I’m ambitious.
