[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

VP investment team? Definitely need to model and know the nuances (might be able to pawn off some of the mechanical part of the model to the Associate, but the VP is the core day to day lead)
Thanks folks. She’s a pretty smart cookie and is generally solid in finance / numbers / etc. She just hasn’t owned an LBO, DCF model in years, but in her current job, has to review and check models all the time.
Frankly, I understand her hesitation. She’s “beyond” that stage in her career. She has 12 YoE (an excellent leader / strategist with a strong foundation in M&A and finance); the thought of doing modeling grunt work is not attractive to anyone at that level..hence the question as to what the expectations of the job role / interview process are.
Yeah, agreed folks. No harm in having some convos and seeing where it goes!
She took a big pay cut; 180K + 20% bonus + equity. Excellent WLB though, enjoys work and team, so it’s a pretty good gig.
Depends on seniority. I think VP would need to check the model that has been created by the associate but I know some PE VPs aren’t great at modelling and get by.
Also surely it depends if your wife is interested in this line of work. If she was she probably would have the motivation to learn how to model?
