Moved to industry and noticed my boss has been dumping all of their work, meetings on me and blocking calendar for personal time. How do you manage this? I have been overwhelmed since I joined past 2 months. They are nice and supportive it’s just that the minute I complete one task they start pushing more and more to me with no breather in between. I need advice getting the partners in my small group at a big law firm to be upfront with their criticism. I’ve come to find that it’s the “culture” in my group that the partners will not provide direct criticism but instead tell the only mid-level associate the problems (after months of noticing them) and then she calls me (first year) and will tell me (“Partner X and Partner Y and I have noticed this over the past few months”). How do I change I communicate that I want direct feedback?

Junior copywriter based in Toronto here. Came to Canada about a year ago and did an internship at Klick Health.

Once it ended in late August, they didn't take on ANY intern full time. Been job searching for the past 3 months.
