Hello all - I got hired by a company based in Massachusetts for a 100% WFH role and will be moving to Texas. Because I’m based in Texas and the company in mass, do I still have to pay income tax in Mass? Big reason for moving to Texas was COL
I need opinions on this. Just started a new PM role (at an IPG agency) last month but I recently got hit up by a recruiter from another agency (WPP agency) for a pretty enticing PM role on a 360 AOR account. Further context: The PM role I'm in currently is my first PM role ever (I came from an entry level AE/Producer backgrund) I know jumping ship for the other PM role would look terrible but tell me why you would OR would not jump ship?
Currently making 160k annually and looking at an opportunity to be an independent consultant with big pharma. How much hourly rate would YOU ask for to switch such a role?

Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Anybody at Deloitte willing to drop me a referral? Found a posting for which I should be a good fit.
What skills would you recommend I pick up as a management consultant at Accenture to exit into a program manager role in tech?
I have an opportunity to move from strategy to creative, if someone out here has any experience with this I would love to talk with you! Context - I’ve been an illustrator freelance on the side for about 10 years, our CD found my work, gave me a chance to work on illustrations for a campaign, and he (and the client) loved it. He wants to help train me and turn my role into a creative one! Super excited about it but also really intimidated by the idea 😬
I’m torn about going up for promotion to director with an infant at home. While I’m professionally ready, I wonder if it’s a bad decision on the home-front. Should I stay in my mgr role or go for it?
Any consultant/consultant married couples or parents? How do you manage two travel schedules? I recently accepted a position with Deloitte and my husband is a firefighter so also away overnight. Getting nervous the travel will create chaos in the family with childcare. Words of wisdom gladly accepted!
Am I crazy for thinking I can exit to PM from a T15 MBA program with a management consulting background? I know it’s challenging but is it outright near-impossible? Has anyone successfully navigated this transition?
My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?
Sometimes I feel like my boss takes "coaching" a little too far. He's all about "breaking me down" in order to "build me up". He's told me things like my voice is too boring when I present, or that I didn't do enough in my last role, suggesting that I wouldn't be in his team if it weren't for him in team meetings. Yesterday he asked me to call someone (on a non-urgent topic) who was on DND, and when I told them I'd call them later, he mimicked me. Am I being too sensitive?
What are some of the M&A Strategy & Operations Exit ops? Currently focusing mostly on post merger integration and premerger planning as well as synergy assessment. I-banking possible without MBA?

How difficult is it to be counseled out at Big 4 firms? Is it common or do you really have to mess up? Are any of the firms more cutthroat than the others?
Planning to accept another job soon but have a scheduled 1 week vacation starting next week. When should I put in 2 weeks notice that I’m leaving? Is it a risk that they withdraw approval of my long-approved PTO? New job wants me to start ASAP so I’d feel bad delaying start dat over a month if the solution is to wait until after vacation to give 2weeks notice
Is it normal for teams to lose it on each other on a regular basis? I’m fairly new to the B4 and never experienced it at former firms. It starts at the top and it’s starting to take a toll on my performance. Not sure if I need to suck it up and deal with it or start thinking about changing teams. TIA
Pregnant with my second and my oldest will be 23 months when baby 2 arrives. What do I need to get with a second (second monitor, double stroller, what else?) TIA!
Any pointers for someone who struggles to speak up during meetings? When I do speak, I’m confident, clear, and direct, but finding that I’m very self-conscious about speaking up or providing my perspective during workshops or brainstorms with the client, for fear of being wrong or being judged. I’ve received some feedback about it lately, so wondering if you 🐠 had any advice
Client's assistant won't shut up about buying a villa in Tuscany. Bitch, I know how much you make. A weekend at The Holiday Inn would be stretching it. #backdowntoearthplease

Hi all! Does anyone have any advice/resources on how to prep for business intelligence roles interviews? For example, data analytics/viz quesions (not necessarily coding on spot but explain how I would approach a data related request). So far I have been answering based on my work experience, but want to do a more systematic prep if possible

In case you never got to see the New York Times article about air quality in classrooms, I’m posting it here for you. It makes some very important points about creating the safest possible environment for students and teachers. 1. Open windows if it all possible 2. Place air purifier centrally 3. Don’t place fans in a way where the air is pointed at people Have a great year and keep yourself and your students safe! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/26/science/reopen-schools-safety-ventilation.html
Why do people want to work for UMM/MF? I feel likes it’s a rat race follow the heard mentality with little long term upside (you get paid a bunch for two years but then what?). I’m really keen to go the MM but feel like I’m making a mistake the way my friends talk about it…. In my mind a small younger growing fund is such a better opportunity — more learning, exposure, promotional potentially, and, hopefully, culture. What am I missing?
