Anyone else get anxiety before client meetings?
I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented. I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..
Countless rounds of revisions on the sizzle reel from hell, and every time, the client would ask us to ”fix the volume of the music, it’s still too loud.”
There was no V/O. Only audio was the music track. It’s really hard to say “maybe you could turn down the volume on your laptop” without coming across as condescending.
Looking for advice from fellow tech consultants- how the heck do you action on feedback that stands in the way of promo that’s vague such as- “work on driving the client strategy more”? Why can’t it be “save X dollars” or “build Y feature in Z sprints” to get promoted?
I feel kind of nervous about rolling off of my project after 2 years. Worried the next one is going to suck.
Hi fishes good morning. I joiner CapG on 26th may 2021 as a Associate consultant. Till this date i got appraisal as well as hike also. But this is not sufficient for a 5 year experience Data Engineer. So i resigned on 12 th june 2022. My current CTC is 9 lpa and i asked them 15lpa for retain. Everything is fine from my Capgemini manager and client manager. Only i am expecting HR Call and that will happen next week as my manager said. Any suggestion what will be next CTC ? With W it was a client interview and the client is one of global leader in financial service and I really like to work with this client.
W's pay is 2-3L higher than A.
This is for Cybersecurity domain where A is comparatively better.

I had accepted an offer in industry that was 42% increase in total comp (excluding performance bonus and including 25% sign-on stock vesting after 1 year). Yet to agree on start date. But tpday found out EY is giving me 21% salary increase effective Oct. This has significantly closed the gap to ~17% and now I'm questioning whether to leave EY. Am I being short sighted? 🤔

Looking for some advice. I had a phone screen for a job I really want on 6/23. I was told I would hear from hiring manager . I followed up with the recruiter one week after phone screen and he said hiring manager was on vacation the week after phone screen and the following week after that ( week of the fourth ) the company was off and said I probably wouldn’t hear from them until the this week. ( week of July 11th) I still haven’t heard anything . Should I send another follow up today ?

I was told by someone about 3 levels above me that for the band (level) I’m at, the minimum pay is $13k more than what I make. He then says “You didn’t hear that from me” meaning that I am not supposed to know that and therefore can’t do anything about it without exposing him as the person who told me. Advice! My law firm was hit by the pandemic resulting in no bonuses/salary increases for ‘20. Obvs a lot of associates left but I stayed because I felt that I didn’t meet the hours so it was what it was and + I really like my team (including partners). However, during the pandemic my team barely checked how I was + if I had any work (spoke twice in 7 months?). For ‘21 I am hoping salary increase + substantial bonus but if I don’t get it, should I ask for it (if so, how?) or should I just leave?

Need advice: I’m new to a company and the CEO decided he’s my manager despite there being a few levels between him and I. He keeps saying he doesn’t have time for 1:1’s and has cancelled for multiple weeks in a row - that management style doesn’t work for me or my career goals. A new guy joined my team, we’re the same level. He became hyper competitive, told me he was more qualified, that I should give my work to him, and then finally stretched the scope of a project so that it included an analysis of my work and included inaccurate data to show how my work was ineffective. I escalated to our manager, and he’s now stopped, but I feel uncomfortable and honestly scared. Never experienced anything like this before and feel like I should leave. Would welcome any advice.

Joined a company about a year ago, and since then a Jr. Manager (male) keeps trying to prove he should’ve gotten my position. I’ve offered to work with him and train new skills so he could be the next senior, I’ve tried to collaborate, to explain why things have to change but he doesn’t want it - not to become a senior manager (according to him) nor to change and adapt.
Anyone with ideas on how to get him onboarded?
