NEED SOME CAREER ADV

i am pretty good at my job but am not seeing fairness in pay and can't stand my department (cool kids club/good ole boy club). I am being considered for a HR Analyst role as we speak with potential of making $20k more (HR and Talent Acquisition are separate at my company). Is it worth the jump to HR/Benefits or should I just get the experience and eventually make more money in Recruiting? I have a general background in HR but find recruiting to be super easy, to be honest.

Leave your company for whatever you like better - recruiting or HR. Or try to find an HR job that’s a mix of both. At this point in your career you don’t need to pigeon hole yourself, and there’s loads of other jobs out there.

Finding recruiting easy is a sure sign that you're talented in that area & using your strengths on a daily basis is proven to lead to work and life satisfaction. Is the new company also aligned to your values/a purpose that personally meaningful to you? What do you know about the culture over there?

I love the company and am well-respected among hiring managers, but I cannot stand my team/department. Corporate Recruiting is treated as the red-headed step child and all of the investments/resources/kudos are reserved for our field-recruiters (for our retail shops). They won't even allow me to have business cards...if that tells you something... ;)

Who is considering you for the analyst role? Your current company or an external one?

Hey folks. 3 YOE, working in tech at a great company, and making 135K TC in Austin.

Have an admit at Columbia and received 30K in aid each year, so I anticipate paying 110K in tuition. With cost of living in upper Manhattan, estimating an additional 35K each year, so 180K total cost.

I want to stay in tech post MBA, but explore faang companies and product roles. Is this worth the cost? I figure I could make a jump in comp at least?

I recently just started this job 6 months ago and also am a recent graduate. I am still very new to the place that I am working; as well as the field I am in. However, everyone in my department has left (3 people since I started) and I am underpaid and still do not have a clue of all their processes. I am completely stranded & stressed. I am currently job searching because I want to be apart of a team since I am so new to the work force. If I am offered better job, is it unethical to leave?
