Dude you only get one or two opportunities in life to level the playing field; an MBA is one of them, and a name brand company (not restricted to consulting obviously). Don't rush it, get it right.
Going there has no benefits. Thing about MBA programs is its only the name that matters. Shitty schools don't get targeted by big firms.
The score will kill all opportunities at reputable consulting and finance firms. I've known people to retake the GMAT in the middle of their MBAs to get on the radar. If neither industry is your target then it doesn't matter as much, although what pwc1 said also holds.
Yeah your gmat follows you and is used by companies well past the "you got into business school" phase.
Agree with MCK. You're soooo young. Take it again 1+ times to get a better score. At least into the high 600s if you don't think a 700 is achievable. Just will be tough to get into a top 5 school as young white male with anything less than 730
25/white male/ 2 years at BAH so far/ went to second tier state school for undergrad
Study and take it again
The people you network with there are the most important. Not the score or even the name of the school.
Thank you for the feedback everyone. I really appreciate it. Definitely will be holding off on accepting. Great points all throughout. 👍🏻
Yes. Yes it will.
Hells yeah!! Get the hell out!!
