Need some help here folks,

I've been working for an irish company the last 6 years and have went from a graduate right up to pre-sales where I am now, I'm currently locked in bit of table tennis match with my boss on salary and need to justify why I'm paid far less than the market rate in order for them to increaseit, currently on 55k (euro) and want that to go considerably up, any ideas on how best to approach it?

Get a competing offer

You should also have collected all of your data re: current market salary levels in your location and with your #YOE

Hi! You can show the offers you got from other companies if any. You can also justify the increase based on your YOE, performance, competency and skills.

The way you’ve worded that doesn’t make much sense. Why do you need to justify why you’re paid less than market rate? I’m sure you don’t mean that and you’ve made a mistake so it would be helpful if you cleared it up. The only thing that will spur your boss to pay you more rather than give you false promises with success criteria and pay reviews is to show him a competing offer. You always have the option to walk away, and if you don’t have the option to walk away going into any negotiations about anything then you have no right to expect to be happy with the outcome

I've just recently been hired as an assistant manager at a Canadian outlet store. I was offered $42k plus bonuses at the interview, but when called back I was offered $44.5k plus bonuses. I already accepted. Did I leave money on the table here?

I have been approached with an opportunity at JP Morgan Chase for their private client advisor role. The book is about 30M all in. I am currently an experienced hybrid asset manager wholesaler and have experience in advising as well. Curious about the opportunity with JPM and if it’s worth it. I currently make about 160k and if JPM would give me a high draw for the first 3 years to build, and if it’s feasible to sustain that 160+ there.

Smallish firm that just merged with another smallish firm. We're switching tax software and about 3/4 of my team is anxious about any change after a couple of roller coaster years full of changes already (pre-merger and unrelated to it.)

Anything you recommend to ease the transition? If it makes a difference for your advice, staff is on the older side. They had buy in on the software and plenty of demos and time to check it out and test it etc. But implementing it is making them anxious

As a salesperson I generally take the approach of keeping my opinions to myself, if a customer asks me something directly I'm not going to lie to them I'll share what I believe in a respectful way. In other words I don't try to force my views on anyone, but lately our world seems to be more and more polarized on everything, and everyone is offered just by knowing you don't share the same views as they do they can't imagine their opinion isn't the only one. How are you handling these situations?
