Need some perspective. How do you find purpose? I went to university with the intent to go into National Security but took a consulting job to develop skills to better qualify. After 18 months of interviews was rejected for one agency, screened out of another, I don’t have the degree to do SIGINT for CAF and from my latest eye exam I don’t qualify for RCMP, CBSA or any police org in Canada for uncorrected. It’s like the last 5 years were wasted and now have no paths to my passion

Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. A new analyst has joined our team and we often give them models/ slides but don’t always ask them if they know all of the accounting principles to be able to make minute adjustments to EBITDA or free cash flow. We are a FIG platform, so the knowledge required is relatively unique as well and not as easy to google as corporate transactions. Is there a better way to coach the analyst short of just throwing them in the deep end to figure it out or should we wait for them to ask us for help?
