Don't want to disappoint you but you want WLB and all offers you have are from the big 4s which are famous for long working hours 😜

funny

Managing your time has nothing to do with your working hours in the Big4. If the management sees you navigating your time better, they pull you in for other projects to "facilitate your learning opportunity" as they say. Perhaps, it does depend on Teams you work with. Scratch that, it definitely depends on your team and Manager. So good luck. You'll need it. And congratulations!

My suggestion: Don't worry about wlb at 3 year of experience. Work hard and learn as much as you can in these early years. Will serve u better in future. Because the work u will do in 2 hours , u should be able to do in 30 min in future. So in that sense , work as much as u can so that u achieve that skill to do it in 30 min instead of 2 hr.

Better to be with Genpact only or try with others apart from Big4

Is is Deloitte USI or India?

Then go for it I suggest. Long hours will be there in all Big4s. But Deloitte USI is better than the other 2.

Hey, I have applied to a job at EY for Risk assurance. My academics are pretty good and I'm pursuing ACCA with BCom, with a year of internship experience as well. I have tried to apply but I think a referral would really help. Please dm me for referrals. Would be happy to speak on linkedin as well and send my job ID as well.

How bad is EY struggling? All I see on social media is that the firm is struggling/layoffs. What is going on? Is it just certain divisions or the entire firm?

I am on H1B. When firms ask “do you require sponsorship” is the answer yes? I would require a green card at some point, but if there is an interesting role that can’t file my GC,happy to work in H1.

I’m leaving a Manager role to take a Director one. They are finalizing the formal offer letter now. I want to leave my current team on good terms, not drop the ball on projects I’m leaving. I’d also like (need) at least a week to refresh and reset and get organized before starting the new director role. I’ve been negotiating terms with the new place since September 3. We agreed on compensation yesterday. Is asking for a Nov 1 start date pressing my luck/being a jerk or totally reasonable?

I feel sick but I keep making bad choices
