I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

I have recently been selected for a partner round at Deloitte for data science consultant position. Can someone tell me what they ask? Also what should be my expected salary in Ireland? Is it wise to state I want around 60k? Or are consultants not paid that much? Please help me. I am new to this. I have a work exp in consulting for 2.5 years and have done my masters recently. Just have an honest conversation about the situation, be specific in what you need to do (is it time off or reduced load) and try to have a plan for covering the work.
If you have been there a year, you qualify for FMLA. That is not a company decision, it is federal law. Your company may have better leave, but this is what FMLA (family medical leave act) is for. D1 has a nice approach but I would also would discuss with HR as there may be other types of options. Take care of your loved one first, the company will survive. This is why the firms have a bench and frankly they would not give you this much consideration in a layoff.
I'm going through this right now. Look into company policies regarding FMLA and provide an expected timeline
That sucks OP. Really sorry to hear that. Stay strong!
Maybe look into your HR policies around leave, figure out which approvals that you would need to get, propose a suggested timeframe (these things are unpredictable, of course). So sorry ti hear it. I went through something similar with my mom years ago. Hug. At D (excluding our family leave policy), I think that you do, PTO and then leave of absence. This is kind of sketchy, but you could maybe qualify for short-term medical leave for anxiety or something like that if you are seeing a therapist. It might reserve your other types of leave and make it easier for you to come back. If it were me, I'd write out my thoughts and figure out what he/she needs to know in regards to what will affect the project/work. You don't need to get into details about the situation or justify that you are even doing it. Don't expect sympathy so if you do get some, it will be a pleasant surprise as opposed to a huge blow if the person is being a jerk. Good luck!
Talk to your HR business partner for your home team. Your CM or Principal can point you to them. They will know all the available options including firm benefits plus federal benefits like FMLA. Overall the firm has a really good policy and way of handling requests like this.
