Any in-house counsel in here willing to post their company, level or YOE, and total comp breakdown? If you’re comfortable, please consider posting both your current stats and what your stats were when you first moved in-house. If there’s any other information that you want to share, please include that too (e.g., hours, interesting perks, etc.). Info on in-house salaries is pretty hard to come by, and it would be great to compile some data points here! Facebook Amazon Google Netflix Apple
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

Finance roles start in the mid to high 100s. They lean on folks with degrees and corp accounting backgrounds. They are pushed harder in working hours than most other departments in the business that I’ve seen. Finance works holiday breaks for example bc of fiscal close. They are the most stressed out of any team esp right now bc of the need to change or add so many systems. It’s an area of high burn out and high turn over. Lots of tired single people. Not a great role for someone w a family.
Why don’t you start by giving a bit more context on yourself and what you’re trying to learn?
