Why do you “need”? When you say industry do you mean industry or working with FS clients

like

Treat it like searching for a new job. Use your network to identify who are the SMs on your target accounts And aggressively reach out to them. At the same time, tell your counselor, panel, mentors, project leads of your plan and be prepared to say no to projects that don’t fit your need and be prepared that your impact might take a hit at YE...

I agree with Senior Manager 1....tell people your plan, but make sure the story you tell is solid (it’s all in how you approach it) - you may not want to say “I just don’t want to travel due to young kids” - sometimes people then say to themselves “well, I have young kids too” I would make sure you tie it into an evolving interest in healthcare (and honestly, it’s always a growing area so not bad to have to get experience in it). Best of luck!

Its financial service clients. I need to make a switch in healthcare as I recently moved to an area which is dominated by healthcare clients. I am looking to stay local as I have young kids.

The primary concern is that Financial services operates and has expectations different from FS. For example you may have uptight people in FS because they want to focus on making money whereas Healthcare the focus is on keeping people alive. The worst is a children’s hospital because and I have first hand experience everything thing you do that is not directly helping save children’s they will accuse you of trying to kill the kids. Just remember the difference and from a PM standpoint you should be ok

Trifocal - It can be eitherways, my basic skill set is Project Manager/PMO which is a generic skill set and required in all the industries. Was wondering how to make the switch though

Also, if your company has healthcare as part of its focus areas, it is better and easier to get the experience there and the. You can always move companies later

Not sure what your ask is. You have a transferrable, industry agnostic skill: PMO. Just get yourself on projects for healthcare clients. Is the issue that you need to join a firm that does the work? Is the issue that your firm does the work but you need advice networking?

Recruiting pitch! Recently left EY (I was so unhappy) for a smaller firm that really emphasizes WLB. Salary is decent, benefits are great, hours are reasonable, and the people are awesome (most are ex big 4 but with none of the attitude). We also get overtime pay if you happen to work more than 40 hours (!!) We have a ton of needs (seniors and up) right now so pls DM me if you enjoy the work you do but hate the hours/stress/lack of balance/independence requirements 🤗

I’m new to the firm. My third project my manager was very hands off. He’s wants to have a discussion with me about my performance. He did not give me any support to work with; even when I asked! And my direct manager agrees with him, but it was my third week. What to do? I feel like I’m going to say something crazy. Any advice?

I’m trying to figure out what I’m worth. I’m a director / editor who works directly in-house at an agency. I’ve directed several (roughly one a month) broadcast spots in the last year for a national fast food client and I’ve also edited those spots among editing other random national spots in-between. The production budgets range from roughly 200k-500k per shoot depending on how many days it is. I get paid 75k yearly which is feeling pretty low when I do the math. Is that fair?

Struggling to evaluate an offer and would like some help. currently make ~150/8/10ish base/bonus/RSU, ~170ish all in excluding benefits. I would be transferring to a startup with a base of 180k with equity. The benefits at my current job amount to maybe a few k more than at the startup. So, overall my cash compensation amounts to roughly the same or a slight increase. The potential upside is the equity. Is that small comp increase enough to warrant leaving a big company, even with equity?

Hi.. I Appeared for an interview for RPA - Automation Anywhere. I didn't got any response after the interview. Then when I reached hiring manager through LinkedIn I got to know I cleared all the rounds but my expected cts is high so they might have rejected. First thing is I never said what I am expecting . And I clearly told In managerial round that I am open for salary discussion. But no one responded. Will I get the call back in time? Or I just leave it and go ahead with other companies?
