Anyone able to see Tax sheet in payroll portal ?
Hello Everyone! Does anyone have a connection at Netflix ! I am an author/marketing associate and truly my dream job is to work on the team that creates/produces Drive to Survive. I am a huge F1 fan! However, I am willing to start where I can and work my way there! I was laid off due to Covid and just trying to get back into the field and industry I love.

Anyone take the CFF exam?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

First off, congrats! Second, put yourself first! Your health is always important, even more so in your current situation. I really hope they accommodate for you, despite how "inconvenient" it may be for the firm during busy season. I would definitely bring it up and see what happens, but I really don't think the firm will push you super hard since any issues on your end could lead to legal problems.
I doubt anyone on the team will have any ill will towards you, unless they're just an awful person to begin with (in which case, who even cares about their opinion lol).
Thank you, that makes me feel a lot better about asking! :)

Congrats on the little one! It doesn’t hurt to ask. I think you and baby will need to come first. The firm will need to accommodate. Our manager reduced her schedule, and our team was able to make it work. They will shift people around.
I’m pregnant too and will go through the 3rd trimester in busy season so def can relate. I think it’s def something you’ll need to convince yourself that baby and health comes first, work can always be figured out and arranged. If the baby had issues due to the busy schedule, you’d be regret these days for life time for sure, but the firm won’t remember you for even more than a year. Even it’s hard to do than say, but put yourself forst
It's your health and your baby's on the line here, proven by a doctor. I've heard of one too many people having miscarriages because they tried to be team players during busy season so I'm telling you to please look out for both yourself and the little one.
I would think the 40 hours during busy season would require a formal FWA of some sort?
During busy season 40 hours is less than full time Similar to if OP’s doctor said don’t work more than 20 hours during regular season, which would require going on a formal FWA. Also, I understand people have to take care of their health but I would resent my leadership if they let someone work 40 hours for more than a couple of weeks while I worked 60 but we got paid the same. If it’s a temporary situation for 2-3 weeks, I couldn’t care less.
Not that I've been in the position, but my sister has (assurance manager now). She had two kids during busy season and both times she reduced her hours to take care of herself while she was pregnant. She told me she's seen many people not & have health issues down the line.
Don't risk it is what all she said even if you think you can handle it. Just note that you may get a pay cut if you're only working less than 40hrs while everyone is working 80hrs or something since you're tech PT at that point.
Pay cut in this situation would be illegal
This happens all the time. Go to the director/partner on the job and share that you are pregnant and will need to work with them to come up with a workable solution for busy season, and you will need to be careful about your health. Better approach than “my doctor gave me a note so you jerks better let me only work 40 hours or I’ll tell in you”. First option, you come across like an adult working with them to resolve a staffing challenge -second option you come across like a hostage negotiation. Been there twice myself - it was no big deal and I got zero push back both times.
Congrats OP. The executives should be supportive of you and they should do whatever they need to do to make this period of you life as easy as possible, regardless of what else is going on on the engagement/firm. If they are not supportive of you during this time, these are not the people you should be working for. If someone on my team is pregnant and come to me with this question, I would help her define what she needs and would help her talk to the executives. Regardless of how supportive the executives are, make sure to put yourself and the baby first, ALWAYS. Again, congratulations!
Thanks for the advice!
Congrats. To keep it brief, this isn’t out of the ordinary, your kid and your health are 10000% more important, and tbh if you can’t bring yourself to do this you should look for a new job. Any job that doesn’t respect you enough to give you flexibility during pregnancy isn’t right.
