Increase your protein intake and cut down on hunger by making a large bowl of oatmeal in the morning with whey protein mixed in. Huge amounts of protein, high fiber to keep you full and satisfied, cleaner than the majority of breakfast foods. For cravings be sure to not keep unhealthy snacks (or really most snacks) in your house. Rid the house of them, otherwise it’s very difficult to stop

Maybe this is a cultural thing, but I need outside input. My nephew just turned 18, and I got him a bottle of Four Roses. Obviously, we live in the US and he isn't 21, but I'm realistic and know he's already drinking. Plus, growing up outside the US (UK) I was drinking before the drinking age with my father and uncles. I thought of it as a coming-of-age type thing, but my sister-in-law was totally shocked and a little angry at me. Was I wrong for thinking this wasn't a big deal?

So I’m 7 weeks 3 days and I haven’t been sick at all. I know I should count myself lucky and not worry at all because it’s normal but I can’t help myself but worry because I feel…normal? I got a handheld ultrasound at week 5 and the doctor saw the gestational sac but nothing else (which apparently is normal at 5 weeks) I have my first real ultrasound in 3 days and I’m so so so nervous. Any reassurance? Anyone else feeling this strange mixed emotions of grateful for feeling fine but also worried

What kind of health plan, a PPO or HDHP, would you recommend to someone that goes to an out of network provider?

I need to let it out but I’m so fucking proud of myself and I just realized how lucky I got and it took me until just now to see it. I started in the military and it only took 2 months for me to get out and fall into a bottomless hole of depression. My transition went from: $13 an hour part time, separation with the wife, new job at $18 an hour for physical labor, hit with disability diagnosis, then $20 an hour new office job, reconnecting with wife, having 2nd kid, nearly divorcing (cont.)
