I feel around 100k should be perfect. Just know that if it's a big agency one of those WPP type huge then they are not give you a promotion for a long time or a raise. So whatever you negotiate just know that ur gonna have to make it work till the time you leave the place.
Realistically you’re looking at a 15% raise, so around 65K.
I’d ask for 75k. Settle for 70k.
OP, I don’t a suggestion on a fair salary bump. I just want to say congratulations on the promotion and upcoming raise!
Yeah, you don’t have any room for negotiation really. That’s why it’s phrased as “giving” you a promotion. You take what you’re given.
If you don’t like it (and with an internal raise you likely won’t) wait a few months and then take your new title and salary to find your real raise elsewhere.
When I was hired in as a junior (big agency, nyc WPP) I got 60 out of the gate less than a year out of college. Maybe ask for 85-90 because promotions are rare at large agencies
To be clear, you absolutely deserve a higher number. You just won’t get it staying in the same spot
Same agency unfortunately you won't get a fair bump. A fair bump would be 75-80 but you'll more likely get 70
Can you really negotiate a promotion? It’s usually just moving you into the salary range for the new role. Ask for what you want, but I agree you’ll probably end up at around 65k
Agree on 65. I think 70+ is dreaming
Lol thanks guys! This was very helpful!
