Hi folks: I would really love to only hear from people who are actually autistic. I don't want the thread to get muddled with questions about why I need to say anything or if certain terminology are still in use. Thanks for understanding
I’m exhausted right now but I’ve got NVLD (in the Autism universe - or at least it was when I was diagnosed in 2003) and am setting a reminder to write a detailed reply tomorrow.
Look forward to it. Rest well
Is “on the spectrum” not used anymore?
I think Neurodiverse achieves the same meaning but is more PC. Divergent makes it seem like they’re different from the rest, which is true in theory but ND people can achieve the same things as non-ND people
Hi OP. Genuinely curious what you mean by ND. I have a very loose understanding of it but google doesn't seem to help much. What do you mean you're neurodivergent? Thanks!
Ty. Why do you have to tell them at all I guess?
How have your experiences gone so far? Do you tell your teams? Your leaders? How do they react?

How do you know you are?
Why is this relevant? We should give the OP credit and assume they have a good reason for the post instead of questioning its premise
I agree with neurodiverse. Alternatively, without having to mention autism if it doesn’t feel safe to, ask HR or your manager if they have coaching for Executive Functioning skills. I’ve also heard someone use “My superpower is X, but I’d really love some coaching or mentoring on Y. Do we offer something like that here?”

That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing!
