Never been skiing before...where do you put your stuff (wallet, phone, etc)? Does everyone typically carry all of their things in their pockets or is it common to wear a backpack?

Trying not to look like an idiot newb or be carrying things that are in the way.

I ski with my phone, wallet, and keys in my ski jacket usually. It’s not a big deal at all. Should not restrict your movement

If you keep stuff in your pockets make sure they zip or Velcro shut

It’s common to wear a small backpack that has straps in the front on your chest and on your waist.

I have a small camelback with pockets

Yep staying hydrated also!

Small backpack or pockets. There’s also lockers if needed but it’s more of a hassle than keeping your stuff on you

Thanks everyone!

Just my zip pockets! My coat has inside pockets too. I’ve never felt the need for a small backpack.

I have a small backpack with shoes, water, ID, card.
Sometimes just leave shoes in car and put everything in my pocket. You really only need a CC and an ID

My spouse and I were out for lunch today with my infant. Random man also having lunch at the restaurant comes up and asks to hold my baby. I said no, he repeats the request a couple of times and I still say no. He then says ‘are you sure? I’m a police’ (assuming to reassure us that he’s safe’), still said no. He waits for a few seconds and went back to his table, kept looking over. I am super weirded out by this. We’re foreigners. Is this a thing in the US?!

I started my firm recently (immigration) and am a true solo. I have experience in a few very specific case types and do lots of research, but don't have enough experience to easily strategize for each consult. I know this will come in time as I do more types of cases and have a background of knowledge to pull from, but I need to grow my business too. I think hiring a very capable paralegal would be the best option, but I'm paying myself 1k a week. I doubt I'd be able to pay an employee. Ideas?

Are any of the ELA teachers here also directing school plays, either by choice or by obligation?

I happily directed three plays a year for all 28 years of my career, but I know some teachers get "stuck" with doing the plays. I would love to be a resource, particularly for those in the second situation.
