Big fan of dresses and capsule wardrobe. Both make packing 10x easier.
Do not check. You will be the laughing stock of every single consultant.
You shouldn’t have any problems fitting 4 outfits into a regular carry-on. You just cannot bring anything extra.
When I pack, I lay out every single outfit by day first, including undergarments and shoes, plus pjs and workout attire. To me that’s the fastest way. I limit myself to two pairs of shoes plus my running shoes.
Then you have all of your cosmetics, etc in a bag. Make sure you don’t have anything in big sizes. I just buy everything travel size.
Have fun!
NEVER EVER check bag, unless forced to haha
Seriously, it takes you always 20min plus at minimum (at AA it usually takes me > 30 🙄), and you run into issues like lost, opened, etc
You DON‘T want that, for sure 🙄
My suitcase is usually packed half gym stuff, half business. Business: 3 dresses (I prefer dresses simply because easy and light to pack), one additional pair of shoes, 1 additional cardigan / light jacket next to the one I am wearing (yes, always have one for traveling, ACs can be crazy)
1 jeans and 1 top for casual evening. This not even every week.
Gym stuff includes sneakers, so you have casual shoes.
Watch „up in the air“ 😄
Pack light. Optimize your bottoms (skirts, pants, shoes) if necessary so you can rotate them during the week. Roll garments rather than fold them to save space. Only carry essentials. If you’re going to be traveling to the same city/hotel - you can even leave a bag behind (with gym shoes, large liquids etc) and just get it from the front desk each week when you check in
OP - I promise, this won’t take you long to manage. When I travel I can go two weeks in a carry-on. It’s all practice, trial, and error.
The best piece of advice, if you’re tight on space, wear your largest items: bulkiest shoes (if you bring more than one pair), scarf/sweater/blazer, jeans, etc..
Never checkin. Unnecessary waste of time. I do not check-in even on international trips for a week or ten days. If you take a hard look at the stuff you carry every week, you will realize there is a bunch of stuff that you never use but just carry.
Roll tour clothes, to fit in bag. Re wear a pair of pants or skirt. I usually bring neutral pieces to mix and match. Bring small toiletries. Shows go in last around edges of the rolled clothes
Personal choice really - some people want to take an entire wardrobe to shampoo to hair and styling products, but for others convenience/time saving might just take precedence over perfecting our hair and complexion for a work meeting. It’s really an individual thing .. use your best judgment to see what fits you best.
Thank you D1
What the fuck are you packing for 4 days that you need to check a bag? I pack for 15 days in a carryon
I check but I bring food. About 1/3 of my bag is filled with trifecta and jus by Julie; otherwise my same bag would be carry on
I check. I fly delta and they guarantee your bag in 20 minutes. By the time I get from my gate to baggage claim my bag is there.
I was 1000% against checking until I’ve been in the same client/city every week... don’t stay in same hotel due to vary hotel pricing. Sometimes I check because it’s just NICE to have slippers in the hotel room... use nice hair products and use my blow dryer LOL. But I do end up adding about 30+ min to my time at he airport between checking and waiting for bags after the flight. Also coming in/out of smaller airports that are never too busy
Thank you so much everyone. These suggestions are super helpful!
