Yes.
Enjoy it. I've been with the firm for 3 years and never had a chance to get bench time.
Better infrastructure overall, more accurate staffing seems like, different perception by clients. I had a great experience at Deloitte professionally and personally, but Accenture does have a dedicated financial services practice unlike Deloitte and obv comp was a lot more
Network will improve vastly after first project
Depends on your industry/alignment. For strategy or resources that's kinda normal
It's normal since it's the holiday season and most projects don't look to staff as much til January. Also, more projects/roles are sold starting January
After you've been with the firm a year avoid this kind of bench time at all costs. People have been getting laid off for being on the bench more than a few weeks
I am seriously thinking about it. Love Deloitte way more, but $ is $ for now
Oh also expense policy... Deloitte is way more relaxed abut receipts etc
Dang man. Did you talk to ppd at Deloitte? They could have matched possibly...
I doubt they would have 35%... The financial services was a big sell, but honestly my network at Deloitte was staffing me better. I think Accenture is a great firm but I got the blues...
Client base is strong definitely, but I think push towards strategy is forward looking... I guess I will know more, once I am actually staffed. Oh one more perk of Deloitte vs Acn is definitely DU. Acn has way better training programs for C-M but man that facility is crap
Really surprised you're having trouble. I never sat on the bench more than 3 weeks when I was at Accenture. They seemed to have more pressure to sell. Now at Deloitte, I've sat on the bench for four of the six months I've been here! How the turn tables have turned.
I am FS and been hearing they overhired this year. I think being new in general that's a risk...
Well good luck finding a project that starts in December... Try looking at chargeable BD work for short term so you can get past the holidays.
Super normal for this time of year
Thanks guys. It's been since October, which seems extreme for me. I am MC FS. Haven't had bench time since 2013, so I am enjoying it but as a new hire it is a bit discouraging
^ FS bench is particularly deep right now. Should pick up a bit more in Jan. Enjoy it while you can but don't be picky if something comes up
Or come back to Deloitte!
Out of curiosity, why love Deloitte more?
